2024 Farm Credit of the Future ThinkTank

For many years, players in the Farm Credit System have talked about the benefits of increasing collaboration when it comes to technology solutions and data interoperability to reduce friction and increase efficiency across the landscape.

To set this collaboration in motion, we plan to hold three ThinkTanks in the first part of 2024. FPOV created ThinkTank events to be highly interactive sessions where leaders collaborate to solve big problems and produce actionable outcomes.

The purpose of these one day ThinkTanks is to bring together all constituents in the Farm Credit System to ideate the possible problems that can be solved and the opportunities for growth and improvement.

We will hold three ThinkTanks across different dates and locations. The curriculum will be the same for each, including four 2-hour thinksprints where we will brainstorm on different topics. This is general agenda:

  1. Thinksprint One: brainstorm on the data problems that could be solved if we collaborated across the system
  2. Thinksprint Two: identify the barriers to digital collaboration when it comes to areas like data sharing and AI engine construction
  3. Thinksprint  Three: ideate on the data collaboration opportunities (Standards, Hub, Exchange, Backup, Industry Analytics)
  4. Thinksprint Four: ideate on the AI opportunities that could help the whole system if we collaborate on data and AI designs

The system is at an important nexus with how we combine people and technology to achieve the collective goal of helping serve the Farm Credit Mission.

New capabilities and risks with Automation, AI, Data, and Cybersecurity will have growing impacts on the system and we can either continue to address these separately, or we can collaborate and get much more value at lower costs.
