Dave Kotch
Dave Kotch is a seasoned chief information officer and an expert in delivering cost-effective, high-performing process and technology solutions in support of business strategies. He has strong business, interpersonal, and technical skills that allow him to weave seamlessly between business needs and IT solutions. He is experienced in running large scale transformation projects and building and leading global, culturally-diverse, client-driven organizations. He has extensive experience in supporting portfolio changes including acquisitions, divestitures, and separations. He has large program management experience with budget responsibilities of up to $90 million annually.
Experience
Dave comes to FPOV from FMC Corporation where he spent nearly two decades as a vice president and chief information officer. He directed all IT resource planning, budgeting, as well as strategic and operational initiatives for the $5 billion, 6,000+ employee, global chemical products company. He held management responsibility for over 200 IT professionals globally and $80 million IT spend annually.
At FMC Corporation, Dave provided executive leadership for multiple IT transformation projects including supply chain optimization, ERP consolidations, and SAP expansions into Asia. He drove a 20% reduction in total global IT spend by increasing efficiencies in IT investments, consolidating over 50 data centers into three regional data centers. He applied state of the art technology to reduce costs and further leverage key supplier relationships while eliminating smaller supplier agreements and negotiating price reductions with key suppliers.
Previously Dave was the director of information technology at FMC Corporation where he helped the organization transition to the Microsoft suite and led the technical integration of a $100 million acquisition in Europe. He was the IT lead on a large-scale ERP project for the corporation’s Industrial and Specialty Chemical businesses and helped develop one of the first customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
Dave played a pivotal role in FMC’s enterprise transformation, leading the successful SAP implementation in the late 1990s and establishing the company’s SAP Competency Center to support ongoing operations.
Background
Throughout his career, Dave has been actively involved in professional and community organizations. He has served on the boards of Mercy Health Care Systems and the American Heart Association. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, with a minor in Economics from King’s College, and an MBA in Marketing from Temple University’s Fox School of Business.
