Matthew’s A/V & Room Spec Request Sheet
The following is a list of room & A/V preferences. Please know these are flexible if there are extenuating circumstances.
Staging
Matthew will use his laptop from the stage so a podium or table is needed.
Microphone
Wireless lavaliere microphone is preferred.
Screen & Computer Projection System
Matthew will use his own laptop because he often has music and video files that would not be easy to move to another computer. He uses the latest Mac operating system on a MacBook Pro. A projector system compatible with a Mac (USB-C, HDMI, DVI, or VGA) computer is required as well.
Media/PowerPoint/Materials
Matthew uses Apple Keynote to create his media presentation and often works on it up until the last minute because of the way he often customizes them for the audience. For these reasons, he is not able to send his slides in advance. However, he does have a handout that can be sent in advance. Please let us know if you have any deadlines for materials and we will do our best to meet them.

Matthew Bertram's Bio
Matthew Bertram is an accomplished speaker and consultant. He is currently a senior consultant and the IT Decentralization Practice lead at Future Point of View. His specialties include business intelligence, artificial intelligence, strategic planning, and business process automation. He has spent his career on the forefront of data intelligence and automation, leading innovation initiatives in these areas.
As the IT Decentralization Practice lead at FPOV, Matthew is tasked with teaching everyone the capabilities to understand and utilize complex technologies, including those who do not have a background in IT.
Matthew has spoken at numerous events including the Stanford University Design Thinking Bootcamp. In 2019, he was one of four business innovators to represent the U.S. State Department as part of a delegation to Russia.
At FPOV, he is currently leading clients in diverse industries such as energy, education, and finance through citizen data science and citizen automation programs. In these programs, Matthew teaches non-technical team members how to become skilled in automation and data science by instructing leading edge techniques.
Matthew spent over a decade at Kimray, an international manufacturer in the oil and gas industry. In his final three years at Kimray, he was the firm’s emerging technology director. In this role, Matthew oversaw proof-of-concept projects for augmented reality, virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and robotic process automation. He supervised and led a team through business intelligence initiatives and data rules engine development.
Prior to this, Matthew was a strategic planning manager at Kimray. He worked closely with Kimray’s executive team to help develop a 15-year strategic vision for the firm. At Kimray, Matthew also worked as a senior forecasting and planning manager where he helmed a planning team that worked to create production and financial forecasts to help support Kimray’s sales and anticipate adverse events.
Matthew graduated from Thomas Edison University in New Jersey with a Bachelor of Science Business Administration, Computer Information Services. He is also a graduate of the Stanford University Design Thinking Bootcamp as well as a Microsoft Certified Solution Developer, Microsoft Certified Application Developer, and Certified Scrum Master.
