Bill Kohler

Bill Kohler is a CIO and executive consultant with over 25 years of experience. He has proven to build high performing teams as well as create innovative solutions that can transform enterprises and increase revenue while decreasing their overall operational technology spend. 

Bill is a strategic leader in both the SMB as well as large enterprise delivering IT modernization and digital transformation programs across many business verticals. He has notable experience in finance/private banking, media and advertising, travel & security risk management, as well as pharmaceutical and health sciences. Bill is an experienced leader in both operations (managing teams from 50-300) as well as strategy by aligning people, process, and technology to the desired business outcomes across both functions and brands.

In his career, Bill has partnered with executives and c-level business leaders to establish both regional and global technology visions that are in line with company strategy and growth. Bill has substantial experience in partnering with all different stakeholders to deliver strategy with solutions that strengthen the company and their products/services which moves them towards becoming a leader in the marketplace.

Experience

Bill comes to FPOV after spending three years at a large consulting firm where he was a client executive advisor to members of the c-suite and a strategic advisor to the top pharmaceutical, life sciences, CPG, and health companies in the U.S. and globally.  He worked with organizations who exceeded $20b in revenue and helped his clients build global strategies, modernization, digital transformation while establishing new revenue streams. 

He spent five years as a chief information officer at a private company that was multi-billion dollars in revenue. Hired to modernize and transform the company’s IT department into a 21st century Technology Group. He established technology vision, strategy, and a digital transformation roadmap that aligned with business targets, implementing a framework in 60 days. He brought in top industry talent and built a high performing team, established partnerships and developed a “Strategy & Innovation” team within IT to help fuel change and growth. 

Background

Throughout his career Bill has also worked as a Chief Information Officer for large organizations in the advertising and media and telecommunications industries. As Chief Information Officer, Americas for Dentsu Aegis Network, he helped land the largest contract in company history, a $5 billion contract with General Motors. Clients he has worked with also include Combe, PayPal, Facebook, Pepsi, FedEx, Becton Dickenson, Eisai, BBDO, IPG Worldwide, P&G, Pfizer, Macy’s, Lehman Brothers and Golden Books Family Entertainment (Random House).

Bill earned his Bachelor of Science from The King’s College (New York City) where he was an All-American soccer player and All Team Tennis Player.
