RISK GOVERNANCE

RISK GOVERNANCE

Let’s be clear, this is a leader’s responsibility, not the technology team’s. As a leader, you need to make the final decision on the level of risk your organization is willing to take. To help leaders decide the acceptable level of cybersecurity risk, we put organizations through a risk analysis.

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?

When we meet with leaders, we ask them, “how secure do you want your organization to be.” The easy response is, “I want my organization to be completely (or 100% secure).” That of course, sounds great, in theory. With major security breaches splashing the headlines on an unceasing basis, it’s no wonder why leaders want their organizations to be untouchable. There are a few reasons why this is untenable. First, it’s virtually impossible to have “perfect” security. Even those devoting enormous amounts of resources to security still have vulnerabilities. It’s also expensive. The greater security, the more resources (time, money, and effort) need to be marshaled. Finally, increased security often strangles innovation.

HOW DOES FPOV HELP?

FPOV offers a Risk Governance Program that highlight the areas of your organization that are most vulnerable to risk. The initial step in our program include a risk analysis for your organization, we meet with leaders and others throughout an organization to learn everything we can about the vulnerabilities and cyber practices of the organization. This helps us to develop a current state and its desired future state, and suggest which parts of our program that most applicable to you.

Program components include…

  • Cybersecurity Risk Management
  • Tabletop Exercises
  • Incident Response Program
  • Security Strategy Roadmapping
  • Insurance Consulting
  • Compliance & Audit
